The account that
withholds for you.
Get paid by card, bank or USDC. ExactSplit works out exactly what you owe on every payment and moves that share to a separate tax wallet the moment it lands. At tax time, file it yourself or hand your accountant a finished file.
Example: three payments land in an ExactSplit Wallet and each is split at a 27.4% set-aside rate. $1,920.74 goes to the tax reserve and $5,089.26 is yours. Illustrative figures.
One account. The tax handled as you go.
getPaid.anyWay()Get paid any way
Send invoices and payment links your clients pay by card, bank or stablecoin, or give them your wallet's USDC address on Solana or Base. Every payment lands in one account.
tax.setsItselfAside()The tax sets itself aside
Each payment's exact tax share, from your real safe-harbor figures and not a 30% guess, moves to a separate tax wallet the moment it lands. Paid in USDC, set aside in USDC.
file.orHandOff()File it, or hand it off
Filled Schedule C and SE, 1040-ES vouchers and a TurboTax import if you file yourself. A private link with quarterly sign-off if your accountant does.
Watch it work.
Every deposit, split. Rate derived from your real safe-harbour target, applied the moment money lands.
Tracked, not just told. Your reserve account against what should be there, and a nudge before a deadline rather than after.
Books that keep themselves. Every transaction classified against your trade, with its provenance shown.
What is yours to spend. Tax not yet set aside, bills about to hit, and a buffer come off the balance. The rest is yours, today.
Income you can see coming. A pending closing raises the projection and the set-aside rate before the deposit lands.
Your accountant, in the loop. A question on the row it is about, an answer where it sits, and a quarter signed off.
The 30% rule costs you money in both directions.
It was never a tax rule. It was a guess, and for most people it holds back far more than they owe, all year, earning nothing. Your number depends on your income, filing status, state, retirement contributions and last year's return. We compute it from your actual transactions. You keep the difference.
Then it finds the money you are leaving on the table.
A calculator is a one-day product. This is the rest of the year: the contributions, the entity decision, the deductions with evidence. Every feature in detail →
Paid in USDC, taxed correctly
Clients can pay invoices in stablecoins, or send USDC or USDT straight to your wallet. You mark each deposit as a client payment or your own money; income is valued in dollars when it arrives, and its tax share is set aside in the same coin.
2026 tables, cited to the source
Brackets, SE tax, the wage base, §199A with the SSTB phase-out and the OBBBA $400 floor, the $400 SE-tax cliff, both safe-harbour tests. Every constant carries its Rev. Proc. or Notice.
SEP and solo-401(k), solved exactly
Each account against its own statutory limit, the circular employer contribution in closed form, the shared §415(c) ceiling, catch-ups by age, and an optimiser that re-runs the whole engine to show what one more dollar actually saves after the QBI clawback.
Crossover, in both directions
Employment tax saved, real costs subtracted, and the §199A effect modelled whichever way it cuts. Break-even at your own salary ratio. Always flagged for a CPA, because it's a structural decision.
Priced by trip date
2026 split mid-year; every trip is rated by its own date with the citation attached. All four §274(d) fields required, because an incomplete trip isn't a smaller deduction, it's none.
A finished file, not a shoebox
Invite your accountant by email. They get a private link, no account needed, and see the quarterly figures, the reserve, and the business transactions. They can ask about any row, request a document, and sign off each quarter. When a number moves after they approved it, you both see it.
A workflow built for agents
Commission income recognised at the net amount, MLS, E&O, lockbox and showing services classified without being taught, and a closings pipeline: each pending closing raises the projection and the set-aside rate before the check arrives, and drops out the day it lands.
Books you never have to do
Read-only bank feed in, classified books out. Every transaction judged against your trade, a rule table that learns your merchants, mileage that meets IRS substantiation, and a Schedule C file your CPA can work from.
Ask your books
"What did my Bali trip cost?" Trips are inferred from your ledger, not typed in. The assistant picks a query and narrates tested arithmetic. It never does the sums itself, and it never gives advice.
Schedule C working papers
Line-by-line Part II, a mileage log, and every transaction with its assigned line, as CSV and printable. The caveats are written into the file, for the CPA who never saw the app.
Built like it holds your bank data. Because it does.

All posts →Questions
Can clients pay me in USDC?
Yes. Invoices and payment links accept stablecoins at checkout, and every wallet has its own USDC and USDT addresses on Solana, Base and other networks. Deposits sent straight to an address wait for you to mark them as a client payment or your own money, so only real income is taxed.
Is ExactSplit a bank?
No. Wallets are provided by Whop, Inc., a technology platform, and its partner banks hold the funds. ExactSplit is software: it works out your taxes and, when you switch on auto-split, asks Whop to move the tax share between your own wallets. Stablecoin balances are not FDIC-insured.
Does it move my money?
ExactSplit itself does not. When your reserve falls behind it proposes a transfer; you approve it and make it at your bank, and it is marked funded when the deposit appears. In your ExactSplit Wallet, deposits and withdrawals are carried out by Whop and its partner banks, inside the wallet page, only when you start them. The one exception is auto-split, which you switch on yourself: when a payment lands in your wallet, ExactSplit moves its tax share to your own tax wallet, and you can switch it off at any time.
What is “safe to pay yourself”?
The amount you can move to personal today without touching tax or upcoming bills. It is your operating balance, less tax owed so far that is not already in the reserve, less recurring bills due in the next 30 days, less a cash buffer you set. It is recomputed on every sync and shows how old the balances are.
Can my accountant use it?
Yes. Invite them by email and they get a private link with no account to create. They see the quarterly figures, the reserve status and the business transactions, never balances, personal rows or your bank login. They can ask about a transaction, request a document, and approve each quarter. Revoking the link takes one click.
Is this tax advice?
No. It is an estimate built from your own transactions, with every approximation surfaced in the app and in the export. Anything above the §199A threshold, and anything structural like an S-corp election, is flagged for a CPA. An accountant's approval inside the app is their sign-off, not ours.
Who is it for?
Freelancers, contractors and sole proprietors who are paid without tax withheld, including by clients paying in stablecoins. The tax engine is built for US Schedule C filers. There is one built-in workflow so far, for commission-based real estate agents, with a closings pipeline and the trade's merchants already known. Everyone else tells it their trade and deductibility is judged against that; more packs follow where the workflow is genuinely different.
How does it connect to my bank?
Through Plaid, read-only. Access tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM, never logged, and never returned by any endpoint. Removing a bank calls Plaid's /item/remove so the connection is genuinely gone.
What does it cost?
Free gets you the wallet, your estimate, and one connected bank with your live set-aside rate. Pro is $249 a year or $29 a month, with a 14-day free trial: every bank, auto-split into your tax wallet, your accountant, and Schedule C files. Pro + Self-File is $399 a year and adds filled IRS forms and a TurboTax import. Business is $499 a year or $50 a month and adds retirement and S-corp planning, a wallet per business, and priority support. Accountants can cover their clients for $49 a month for five, then $12 each. See /pricing for the full comparison.
What is ExactSplit Wallet?
An optional wallet, opened from your ExactSplit dashboard, for keeping your tax reserve apart from everyday money. It is provided by Whop, a technology platform whose partner banks hold the funds; ExactSplit never holds your money, and any savings account works just as well. Full disclosures are at exactsplit.com/wallet-terms.
